“The Belt and Road International Volunteer Service League” was established in Beijing, June 9th. More than 70 delegates from Chinese government organizations, research institutes, and voluntary organizations attended the seminar on volunteer service and UN sustainable development goals. This seminar was held jointly by Beijing Normal University, UN Volunteers, China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges, Ministry of Commerce, and Beijing Volunteer Service Federation. The aim is to deepen the understanding of all walks of life on promoting the economic value of volunteer service, summarize and share the contributions that volunteer service has made to UN sustainable development goals, and discuss the new opportunities of future international cooperation on volunteer service. It is decided on the seminar that the data and evidence on China volunteer service research will be unveiled at the Global Technology Conference, 2020. Besides, the Report- China Economic Value of Volunteer Service 2017 was published at the seminar.
