Abstract
"Social Capital and Peasants' Income in Transitional China" is divided into two parts, which mainly discuss the two major problems, the impact of social capital on the income of peasants before and after entering the city, and the investment behavior of social capital. Before studying this issue, the author reviewed the role of social capital in alleviating rural poverty from both static and dynamic perspectives firstly, and believed that with the deepening of the marketization process, the role of social capital in combating poverty has weakened. Based on the literature review, the author proposes future research directions such as deepening the theoretical mechanism of social capital's poverty reduction, social capital anti-poverty mechanism in the process of marketization, improving social capital measurement, and strengthening the recognition of causal effects.
